Designer Focus || Mehera Blum of Blumera

I’m always on the hunt for special pieces. I love one of a kind items, things I’ve never seen before. When I find them, I always want to know more about the designer doing the fresh and interesting work. It was at a showroom visit in Soho when I came upon the most beautiful handbags. There were gorgeously carved wooden clutches, embroidered satchels, and embellished pouches. I learned that the line is called Blumera and, the designer, Mehera Blum. The Creative Professional || Pink & Purple

Surprisingly enough, as a wardrobe stylist, I actually don't need to be dressed to the nines every day. Much of the time, I'm on set where I dress somewhere between conservative and casual (something like denim with a loose blouse, usually a heeled boot, often a clean sneaker) because styling is a very hands-on, active job: my outfit needs to be more work-ready than fashion forward.

Sometimes, though, a client meeting or networking event requires a more polished look (which I really enjoy putting together. I love creating a good power player ensemble). For those occasions, I do what I call, "The Creative Professional."...
