A Size-less Look || Summer Bralette and Full Skirt

In summer, that are few acceptable ways to avoid the heat: spend all of your time in air conditioning, spend all of your time in a pool or body of water, or wear clothing that has some great ventilation. I choose the latter. On those scorchers when I all I want to do is eat popsicles and run through a sprinkler but my day looks more like running to meetings and sweating my life away in the subway, I reach for high-waisted bottoms with volume and a crop top. The crop top allows me to wipe myself down with a cold towel easily (as I do this all day, without shame) and the full skirt allows for some air flow as I walk (bonus points if there's a slit). And the even better part? This combo works on basically every body type.

Although it's not obvious, I'm actually wearing a bralette here. The skirt is so high-waisted that it perfectly meets the bottom of the top, making the outfit professional looking (I'm not showing any midriff) but saving me from the added bulk and heat of having to tuck in any extra fabric. I love how the bright blue of this bralette brings out the colors of the skirt even more. I paired the look with a vintage straw and leather bag and embarked on my day feeling cool... literally.
